About Northwest District - North Mississippi Conference

The Northwest District is one of two districts of the North Mississippi Conference of the Gr8t 8th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and includes four annual conferences in the states of Mississippi and Louisiana. Our mission is to provide a welcoming space for all. Where we can serve God freely, practice our faith, and connect with the communities where we are located.

The African Methodist Episcopal Church has a rich history of community engagement and activism. The churches in the Northwest District provide a wide range of programs and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our congregations and stay true to the values of our founders and our God passed down through the generations.
